Progress Report - May

I began logging my distances this month for biking, running and swimming. On the sidebar you'll see my goals and what I have thus far completed. I am two miles from my goal for biking for the month of May. I may need to up that for June. I'm satisfied with my swimming total only because I had to miss a swim day due to a sick daughter.

Surprise!!! Behind on the running! I have 17 more miles of running to do in the next 14 days. Now, it sounds fairly easy when I put it that way. But I hate running and I really don't do it any more than I have to.

My mom and I went for a 15 mile bike ride today. It was a nice easy ride. No hills just some wind to contend with.

I am looking into testing out some road bikes. I was going to make it a reward for losing 75 pounds (sometime in the fall...I hope) but I'm too impatient. My daughter needs a bike so she can ride with us and rather than buy her a really cheap one or spend the money on one that she probably won't use much I'm hoping to get a road bike and she can use my hybrid bike when we go riding.

Have you tried running to music? I really enjoy it, especially when I find songs that match my cadence.
